Hocus Wheels gift

After forgetting a gift (there were so many!) during the awards, a draw has occurred in the presence of a bailiff officially sworn in for the occasion and the No. 246 came out.
The gift is a pair of MTB wheels offered by Hocus Wheels and composed of:

- Surly hubs
- American Classic rims
- DT Competition spokes

for a value of 450€!

So that this wheelset fits best with its future owner, Hocus Wheels needs some information about the chosen one. We will contact number 246 to give him the necessary informations.

Suite à l'oubli d'un lot lors de la remise des prix (il y en avait tellement !), un tirage au sort des dossards a eu lieu en présence d'un huissier officiellement assermenté pour l'occasion et c'est le n°246 qui est sorti.

You all wanted to have one of our magnificent chalices offered to the 2 winners and sponsors? No problem, Hannelore proposes to make new ones.

SSEC 2011 chalice price is 16€, postage is 6€ for Belgium and 12€ for the rest of Europe (it's expensive but no way to find cheaper).
Time: +/- one month, depending on how many pre-orders.
Price and time are justified by the fact that Hannelore manufactures them one by one in a traditional way and not in industrial quantities. Each chalice is unique.

After consultations among members of the organizing committee and given the imposing elevation prepared by our local organizer for the saturday ride, the use of geared MTBs will be exceptionally allowed during SSEC 2011. However, not to skew too much the results, only bicycles with a single ring will be allowed to participate in the ride.

It remains only a month to complete preparations for the SSEC 2011. The largest is done but a lot of details remain to be resolved. However, do not worry, we strive to ensure you have a good time at Maredsous. Yesterday, for example, we were in "lumberjack commando" operation to clear the tracks that will serve for the ride.

And who says physical work necessarily says active recovery!

Il ne reste plus qu'un mois pour terminer les préparatifs pour le SSEC 2011. Le plus gros est fait mais pas mal de détails sont encore à régler. Cependant, n'ayez aucune crainte, nous mettons tout en oeuvre pour que vous passiez un bon moment à Maredsous. Hier, par exemple, nous étions en opération "commando bucheron" afin de dégager les chemins qui serviront pour la ride. Et qui dit travail physique dit forcément récupération active !

To win a brand new frame, a participant in SSEC2010 did not hesitate to cut his Kona frame!!!

SSBE, who had been awarded the organization of the next edition, has decided to make this bravura a symbol of future editions. Thus was born the SSEC trophy.

It will be forwarded every year to the organizers of the next edition, such as the Olympic flame. We can follow his journey from his arrival at Calais (from the Forest of Dean) to Maredsous.

Cheeses, sausages, ... Anything that can be eaten with a hop juice and, preferably, who is from your area.

afin de mieux se connaître avant la sortie nocturne (après on ne sait pas si tout le monde sera encore là), SSBE aimerait tous vous réunir autour d'un apéro où chacun est convié à amener de quoi accompagner une bonne bière d'abbaye. Fromage, saucissons, ... N'importe quoi qui peut se manger avec un jus de houblon et, de préférence, qui vient de votre région.

The organizing committee of SSEC 2011 thus officially launch the call for applications for the organization of SSEC 2012.

We are confident that there will be volunteers for this unique event can continue to take place every year.

We are pleased to announce the opening of the final registration.
Each pre-registrant (AND ONLY THOSE WHO HAD PRE-REGISTERED) can now go to the registration form to confirm his personal details (please fill out the form, click on "add ", read and accept the conditions of registration and, finally, submit the form) and take note of payment options on the confirmation page.
You have the option to make an entry group: for this, fill out the form information and click "add" for each person you want to register. Note that in this case you will pay for everyone at once.
Please take care to indicate a correct email address and verify enrollment options chosen for each person.
The form is available in French, English and Dutch (we hope to have been good translators ;-))

SSBE wishes to remind the British Royal family that it would be better for them not to schedule the wedding of William and Kate on the last weekend of april if they do not want to undergo a fiasco from a press coverage point of view. Indeed, most major media will be present at Maredsous to cover SSEC 2011 and will therefore not be in London for the Royal wedding. It had to be said!

SSBE tient à rappeler à la famille royale Britannique qu'il serait préférable pour eux d'éviter d'organiser le mariage de William et Kate le dernier week-end d'avril s'il ne veulent pas subir un fiasco du point de vue couverture médiatique. In a few days, the final registration will be opened and the 320 pre-registered riders will have some time to complete the final registration ("options" selection and payment).

If the quota is not reached at a certain date, people on the waiting list will then be included in the process until completion of the list.
